Dirt Road Cowgirls

The Dirt Road Cowgirls are ANGELIKA BOOTH and ADRIE BRAND. The girls first met in Elands NSW in 2008 and sparks flew when they started to jam together. The duo was formed and gigs were done around the area. The duo then went to Queensland to play some country venues around Rosedale. 2009 saw the girls play some gigs at the Tamworth Country Music Festival to huge crowds with great reaction.

ANGELIKA has been playing bass guitar and writing songs for a number of years. She has played with many bands and artists including The Gottani Sisters, Johnny Greens Madcats, The Drifting Rocket Pilots and Wendy Saddington and appeared on the KOORI CLASSICS recordings.

ADRIE plays rhythm guitar and is the lead singer. She was part of a country blues band called The Cheatin’ Hearts and played around the Taree area for about a year. Adrie then moved to the Northern Territory where she raised her 5 children with the Walpiri and Aranda tribes living their fathers traditional way of life before moving to Rosedale in Queensland.

In March 2009 the girls came to Tamworth to record at ENREC with STEVE NEWTON engineering and producing. The album consists of ANGELIKAS

heartfelt songs-some written from real life experiences and together with ADRIES strong, country blues voice, the album is an amazing listening experience and well worth owning a copy!
